John Ikechukwu Okafor AKA Mr Ibu is a Nigerian famous actor and comedian. Born on 17th October 1961, Mr Ibu is 62 years old.
Mr Ibu is an indigenous of Umunekwu Village in Eziokwe, Nkanu West Local Government Area, Enugu State, Nigeria. After his primary school, young Ibu moved to Sapele to live with his elder brother.
After his secondary school, he got accepted in to College of Education, Yole but dropped out due to financial problems.
Later, he enrolled in the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu. Following the death of his father, Mr Ibu did menial jobs to survive. He was once a photographer and hairstylist before h joking Nollywood.

Mr Ibu joined the film industry in 1973 as one of the camera crew members working behind the scenes. However, his career as an actor kicked off in early 1983.
Mr Ibu has become one of the most influential and iconic comic actors in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry.
