Oba of Lagos, staff of office reportedly returned

The staff of office of Oba of Lagos, has been returned to the palace.

According to reports, the staff was found inside a room scattered with papers and was placed on the wall.

Last week Wednesday, hoodlums attacked the Palace of Oba of Lagos located at Iga Idugaran, Lagos Island. They vandalized and carted away several items belonging to the Oba.

A 24 hours ultimatum was given to those who stole the Oba of Lagos staff of office. The office of the Oba of Lagos, threatened to cast a spell on the hoodlums if the staff was not returned.

“We hereby call on the paramount Apena of Oshugbo, Opa, Akala and other traditional heads and custodians to immediately secure the Oba’s palace from further attack(s) in order to save the face of our traditional stool.

“The royal house, however called for the return of the stolen staff of authority to be deposited at the Apena of Lagos within 24 hours or the deviants will face the consequences of their action. A word is enough for the wise.” The office said.

The staff of office has been returned to the palace but other items are still missing.
