Remi is the wife of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. she is popularly known, served as the first lady of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007. She is currently a senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District at the Nigerian National Assembly.

Oluremi Tinubu Biography
Oluremi Tinubu was born on 21 September 1960 in Ogun State. She is the youngest of 12 children in her family. Her father is Yoruba while her mother is from Itsekiri.
Furthermore, First Lady Oluremi is Christian by religion and also an ordained pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Education
Remi Tinubu started her educational career at Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School Ijebu-Ode where she obtained her West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Exam (WASSCE) in 1979.
Later, she got her PGD from The Redeemed Christian bible college in 2010. She further bagged a B.S in Education from the University of Ife.
Also, she obtained National Certificate of Education in Botony and Zoology from Adeyemi College of Education.
Oluremi Tinubu Political Career
Oluremi started her political career as the first lady of Lagos State after her husband Bola Tinubu, was elected as governor.
Later in 2015, she got elected as Senate representing Lagos Central Senatorial District at the Nigerian National Assembly.
All in 2015 – 2019, Oluremi is one of over 100 senators elected in the 8th assembly with only six of them being women.
She has since established herself as one of the most charismatic senators in the National Assembly. Also, Oluremi is one of the most powerful women in Nigerian politics.
During her husband President Bola Tinubu victory speech on Wednesday Match 1, 2023, he insinuated that Oluremi won’t be returning to the senate, as she’ll be occupied with more wifely responsibilities.
“To my lovely wife, Oluremi Tinubu, you the senators don’t expect her back, she’s going to be my housewife and the First Lady.”
