The former Lagos State Governor of Alhaji Lateef Jakande, has been laid to rest today, Friday February 12.

The 91 year old man who died yesterday, Thursday, February 11, was the first civilian governor of Lagos state.

Late Jakande was governor of Lagos State from 1979 to 1983 and also served as the Minister of Works under the Sani Abacha military regime from 1993 to 1998. May his soul Rest In Peace.
