LilFrosh: former Davido’s artist Lilfrosh sent to Ikoyi prison

Nigerian upcoming artist Lilfrosh has been reprimanded in Ikoyi prison following the alleged assault on his ex-girlfriend Okeoghene Iyomaterie popularly known as Cutegeminme.

Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun of the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba on Tuesday ordered the remand of a Nigerian upcoming artiste, Lilfrosh at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre.

On October, 2020, Iyomaterie’s manager, called out Lilfrosh on Twitter for assisting her which he publicly denied. The artist said the alleged battered face of his ex-girlfriend was a dye reaction and not his doing.

Lilfrosh was invited by the policemen for interrogation at the Federal Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Alagbon, on Thursday, February 4, 2021,

The victim, revealed that he started dating the musician since January 2020, but that the relationship was violent.

She said, “He consistently slapped me on the face, kicking, pushing me on other sensitive parts. The recent attack happened in September 2020, when he attacked me and rained blow on my head with bruises on my face.

“I partially lost my sight and had sleepless nights. He repeatedly boasted that since he is a well-known musician he is untouchable.”

The upcoming artist was arraign was facilitated by the International Association Of Women Lawyers, Lagos State branch for assault.

However, he who pleaded not guilty to the charge, had no counsel to represent him in court. Following his plea, Magistrate Olatunbosun ordered his remand in the correctional facility and adjourned the matter till March 9, 2021.
