Who Is Wizkid Mother?

Wizkid mother is Dapolo Jane Balogun. She is from the South Western part of Nigeria and is Yoruba by tribe.

She got married to her husband Alhaji muniru Olatunji Balogun in the late 1980s. The couple have five children including, Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun.

Also, Nigerian singer Wizkid is the only son of his mother Mrs Jane Balogun. The artist and his siblings grew up in Surulere, Lagos State.

During the beginning of Wizkid music career, his mother Mrs Dalopo Jane Balogun didn’t like his choice of career and was angry that he dropped out of University to chase his dream.

Following the success of her son’s music career, the mother gave her full support. In one of her interviews, Mrs Jane Balogun said; ”Wizkid got his success from God”.

Mrs Jane Balogun is a Christian belonging to the Pentecostal denomination. However, Wizid’s father is a muslim.

According to reports, Nigerian artist Wizkid lost his mother Mrs Dakolo Jane Balogun on Friday August 18, 2023.

However, her cause of death is yet to be revealed to the public as the singer is yet to release a public statement.
