He was the founder of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), a global church which owns the popular Emmanuel TV.

Temitope Balogun Joshua popularly known T. B. Joshua, was a Nigerian Prophet, Philanthropist and televangelist.

Personal Life

Prophet T.B Joshua was born in June 12, 1963 at Arigidi Aliko, Ondo state, Nigeria. He was born in to the family of Mr amd Mrs Balongun.

Although not much is known about his patents, T.B Joshua said spent a year and three months in his mother’s womb. 

He is married to Evelyn Joshua and couple are blessed with three children, including Serah Joshua, Promise Joshua.

Education

Pastor T.B Joshua started preaching the gospel at an early age at his school.

In his school at St. Stephen’s Anglican Primary school at Arigidi Akoko, Joshua said he was known as “small pastor” because he was very young and loves the Bible.

He organised Bible studies for local children and attended evening school during this period to complete his secondary education.

TB Joshua Death

On June 5, prophet T.B Joshua died at the age of 57 few days to his birthday. 

He died shortly after evening meeting with his partners on Saturday evening.

T.B Joshua’s death came as a shock to Nigerians and his church members all over the world. 

Sources also claimed that the prophet was said to be ill two days ago before his death.

The Synagogue Church of All Nation

T.B Joshua founded The Synagogue, Church of All Nation after he received a divine vision from God.

His ministry have more than 10,000 members and is viewed globally. Foreigners and visitors are accommodated by the church during their visits.

The SCOAN church also boasts the  economy of Lagos state were it is located as many visitors of the church lodge at hotels close to the church.

Despite having high level of popularity and influence in Africa, the church have one branch located in Ghana.

His church brought a high level of Religious tourism in Nigeria. 

Emmanuel TV

Emmanuel TV is the official television station of SCOAN. It debuted in 2015 DSTV and GO Tv. The Channel is broadcasted 24 hours and is one of the most watched religion channel in Africa.

The Sunday services of SCOAN are broadcast live on the channel and watched across Africa. 

The channel’s programmes also air weekly on a number of local television stations across Africa. 

Emmanuel TV’s motto is ‘Changing lives, changing nations, changing the world.

The station is also known for its catch-phrase, ”Distance Is Not A Barrier” encourages viewers to ‘pray along’ with T.B. Joshua during television service.

There are also several claims of people receiving miracles and healing through prayers while viewing the church programmes.

Philanthropist 

Pastor T.B Joshua is not only a Munster of the gospel, but a known philanthropist.

In 2012, Joshua sponsored a Nigerian student doing a PHD at Oxford University with £100,000.

He also gave a scholarship to a young Motswana to student at Harvard Law school in United state.

During the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Joshua sent a team of medical personnel to the affected area and establishing a clinic called ‘Clinique Emmanuel’.

He provided support to nations such as Philippines, India and Ghana in the wake of varying natural disasters. 

In April 2916, The ‘Emmanuel TV Team’ also assisted victims of the earthquake that struck at Ecuador.
