Tems goes on hunger strike; reveals that she has not eaten for the past 34 hours after she was arrested alongside Omah Lay in Uganda (video)

Nigerian singer, Tems has gone on hunger strike, as the singer having eaten for 48 hours after she was arrested alongside another singer Omah Lay in Uganda.

The Nigerians singers were arrested and charged with “negligently doing acts likely to spread infectious diseases” after they both performed in a music show in the country. 

While Omah Lay was taken to Kitalya prison, Tems was taken to Kigo prison but we’re arraign in court together yesterday, December 14.

In viral video from the court proceeding on Monday Decembe 14, Tems was seen arguing with a Ugandan woman who offered her food. 

The singer stated that she doesn’t want food and has already gone 34 hours without any. and that she is planning to go more hours without one.

However, the Ugandan woman claimed that their country cared about their well being but Tems refused to listen to her while stating that it is her body and she will be going for the next 48 hours without food.
