Man released from Lagos prison after spending 7 years for a crime he knew nothing about
|A Nigerian man has been released from Ikoyi prison after spending seven years oldie the crime he did not commit.
The unidentified man was released from the Lagos prison yesterday, September 25.According to Lawyer Malachy Odo, who facilitated his released, recounted how he got involved in helping the man secure his freedom.
Malachy took to Twitter to share the story as he said the man’s brother-in-law reached out to him .
Malachy tweeted;
”7 years in Ikoyi Prisons. Raided at Oworonshoki and roped into a crime he knew nothing about. His brother-in-law reached out to us here late last year & God sealed his release today.”
Odo also revealed that the man needs to be rehabilitated because of the changes of the environment.
He further said, “Told him an Uber will be booked to take him home and he was like “what’s Uber?” Had to explain to him.
He needs a lot of rehabilitation and catching up to do.
